giving a little love

Valentine's Day happens this month in the U.S., and if you're shopping for cards, why not send some that also spreads love to your favorite charity or organization? Here are some of my favorite picks:

UNICEF has a varied selection of beautifully designed cards great for any occasion. This year for Valentine's Day, I'm sending off these colorful floral cards.

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) works in 190 countries and territories to save and improve children’s lives, providing health care and immunizations, clean water and sanitation, nutrition, education, emergency relief and more. [http://www.unicefusa.org]

The American Cancer Society's card choices feature nature photography (a good choice for cards for your mum) and children's cards with customizable text.

The American Cancer Society is a nationwide, community-based, voluntary health organization that combines an unyielding passion with nearly a century of experience to save lives and end suffering from cancer. [http://www.cancer.org]

The Art Institute of Chicago has a gorgeous selection of greeting cards featuring stunning works of art. I love this collection of African American Artists.

The Art Institute of Chicago collects, preserves, and interprets works of art of the highest quality, representing the world’s diverse artistic traditions, for the inspiration and education of the public and in accordance with our profession’s highest ethical standards and practices. See anything you like? If these aren't to your tastes, try thinking of some of your favorite charities and check out their online shops. Chances are, you'll find some cards perfect for mailing to friends and loved ones this Valentine's Day, as part of your LetterMo Challenge, or for any reason!
